Anti-F-box protein 22 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FBXO22 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 403 amino acid residues and a mass of 44.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in the liver, also enriched in cardiac muscle. The F-box protein 22 protein is involved with protein ubiquitination, among other functions. Other names for this target antigen include FISTC1, F-box only protein 22, F-box protein FBX22p44, FIST domain containing 1, and FBX22.
