Anti-Interleukin 20 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the IL20 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 176 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.1 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the IL-10 protein family, it is known to be involved with the differentiation of certain cell types. Other names for this target antigen include ZCYTO10, cytokine Zcyto10, four alpha helix cytokine, and IL10D. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. A number of Interleukin 20 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
