Anti-LSDP5 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LSDP5 is a known alias name of the protein perilipin 5, encoded by the PLIN5 gene in humans. This 463-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the metabolism of lipids, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in skeletal muscle, liver, heart and kidney.
