Anti-Emerin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene EMD in humans. The emerin protein has a reported amino acid length of 254 and an expected mass of 29 kDa. The protein may also be known as EDMD, LEMD5, STA, and LEM domain containing 5. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
