Anti-EDF1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein endothelial differentiation related factor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 148 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the brain, liver, lung, kidney and heart. EDF1 is known to be involved with endothelial cell differentiation and the regulation of transcription. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include MBF1, multiprotein bridging factor 1, and CFAP280. EDF1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some EDF1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
