Anti-bleomycin hydrolase antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the BLMH gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 455 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. A member of the Peptidase C1 protein family, it is known to be involved with protein ubiquitination and proteolysis. Other names for this target antigen include BMH, BLM hydrolase, and BH.
