Anti-Apolipoprotein A-V antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Apolipoprotein A-V antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the APOA5 gene, which encodes apolipoprotein A5. This protein is known to function in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and the metabolism of lipids, among other biological roles. The human version of Apolipoprotein A-V has a canonical amino acid length of 366 residues and a protein mass of 41.2 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the Golgi and is secreted of cells. This target antigen may also be known as apolipoprotein A-V. Some Apolipoprotein A-V antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
