Anti-ARID2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein AT-rich interaction domain 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1835 amino acid residues and a mass of 197.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is reported to be highly expressed in heart. ARID2 is known to be involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). Synonyms for this target antigen include ARID domain-containing protein 2, AT rich interactive domain 2 (ARID, RFX-like), BRG1-associated factor 200, and AT-rich interactive domain-containing protein 2.
