Anti-FRAP2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FRAP2 is a known alias name of the protein mechanistic target of rapamycin kinase, encoded by the MTOR gene in humans. This 2549-amino acid residue protein is a serine/threonine protein kinase which is a central regulator of cellular metabolism, growth and survival in response to hormones, growth factors, nutrients, energy and stress signals. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in numerous tissues, with highest levels in testis. Other synonyms for FRAP2 include FRAP, FRAP, and FRAP1. Some FRAP2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
