Anti-Glypican 3 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene GPC3 in humans. The Glypican 3 protein has an expected mass of 65.6 kDa, but there are 3 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as DGSX, Heparan Sulphate Proteoglycan, OCI-5, GTR2-2, MXR7, and glypican proteoglycan 3. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
