Anti-AIG1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein androgen induced 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 238 amino acid residues and a mass of 27.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 6 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the gallbladder and liver. It is a member of the AIG1 protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include androgen-induced gene 1 protein, FAHFA hydrolase AIG1, fatty acid esters of hydroxy fatty acids hydrolase AIG1, and dJ95L4.1. AIG1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the AIG1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
