Anti-AAMP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein angio associated migratory cell protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 434 amino acid residues and a mass of 46.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in metastatic melanoma, liver, skin, kidney, heart, lung, lymph node, skeletal muscle and brain, and also in A2058 melanoma cells and activated T-cells. AAMP is reported to play a role in angiogenesis and cell migration. AAMP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some AAMP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Flow Cytometry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
