Anti-Preferentially expressed antigen in melanoma antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PRAME in humans. The gene may also be known as CT130, MAPE, OIP-4, OIP4, melanoma antigen preferentially expressed in tumors, and Opa-interacting protein OIP4. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 57.9 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
