Anti-SUPT6H antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SPT6 homolog, histone chaperone and transcription elongation factor. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1726 amino acid residues and a mass of 199.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the SPT6 protein family, SUPT6H is known to be involved with mRNA processing. Synonyms for this target antigen include SPT6H, emb-5, transcription elongation factor SPT6, histone chaperone suppressor of Ty6, suppressor of Ty 6 homolog, and SPT6. SUPT6H gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of SUPT6H antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
