Anti-GTF3A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein general transcription factor IIIA. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 365 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. GTF3A is known to be involved in ribosomal large subunit biogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include TFIIIA, transcription factor IIIA, and AP2. GTF3A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GTF3A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
