Anti-NLRP7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein NLR family pyrin domain containing 7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 980 amino acid residues and a mass of 111.8 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in numerous tissues including uterus and ovary, with low levels in the heart and brain. A member of the NLRP protein family, NLRP7 is reported to inhibit CASP1/caspase-1-dependent IL1B secretion. The NLRP7 gene has been associated with the disease, Hydatidiform mole. Synonyms for this target antigen include NACHT, LRR and PYD containing protein 7, NACHT, leucine rich repeat and PYD containing 7, PYRIN-containing Apaf1-like protein 3, and NACHT, LRR and PYD domains-containing protein 7.
