Anti-Zyxin antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ZYX in humans. The Zyxin protein has an expected mass of 61.3 kDa, but there are 2 reported isoforms. The protein may also be known as ESP-2, HED-2, and zyxin-2. Variants of this antigen may also be found in other species, including fly, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat.
