Anti-TNFRSF11A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein TNF receptor superfamily member 11a. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 616 amino acid residues and a mass of 66 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 6 different isoforms for this protein. TNFRSF11A is a known receptor for TNFSF11/RANKL/TRANCE/OPGL; essential for RANKL-mediated osteoclastogenesis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include FEO, LOH18CR1, ODFR, OFE, OPTB7, OSTS, PDB2, and CD265.
