Anti-OR5I1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 5 subfamily I member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 314 amino acid residues and a mass of 36 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR5I1 is known to be involved with GPCR signaling pathways and the sensory perception of smell. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include OLF1, olfactory receptor 5I1, olfactory receptor OR11-159, olfactory receptor-like protein OLF1, and HSOlf1. OR5I1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the OR5I1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
