Anti-ANKK1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ankyrin repeat and kinase domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 765 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.6 kDa. It is reported to be highly expressed in the brain and weakly expressed in the placenta and spinal cord. A member of the TKL Ser/Thr protein kinase protein family, ANKK1 is known to be involved with protein phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include X-kinase, protein kinase PKK2, sugen kinase 288, and ankyrin repeat and protein kinase domain-containing protein 1. ANKK1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ANKK1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
