Anti-FKBP9 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FKBP prolyl isomerase 9. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 570 amino acid residues and a mass of 63.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. FKBP9 is known to be involved with protein folding. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation and glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include FKBP63, PPIase, peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase FKBP9, 63 kDa FK506-binding protein, 63 kDa FKBP, and FKBP60. FKBP9 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some FKBP9 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
