Anti-Janus kinase 2 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene JAK2 in humans. The gene may also be known as JTK10, THCYT3, tyrosine-protein kinase JAK2, and JAK-2. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 130.7 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
