Anti-Gankyrin antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Gankyrin antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PSMD10 gene, which encodes proteasome 26S subunit, non-ATPase 10. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway, among other biological roles. The human version of Gankyrin has a canonical amino acid length of 226 residues and a protein mass of 24.4 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the testis, skin, and placenta. Other names for this target antigen include dJ889N15.2, p28, and p28(GANK).
