Anti-CUL4A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cullin 4A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 759 amino acid residues and a mass of 87.7 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Cullin protein family, CUL4A is an important component of multiple cullin-RING-based E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complexes which mediate the ubiquitination of target proteins. CUL4A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Over 160 citations in the literature describe the use of CUL4A antibodies in research. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
