Anti-CSX antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the CSX antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NKX2-5 gene, which encodes NK2 homeobox 5. This protein is known to function in muscle contraction, among other biological roles. The human version of CSX has a canonical amino acid length of 324 residues and a protein mass of 34.9 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus of cells. Other names for this target antigen include CHNG5 and CSX1. Western Blot is the most common application for the CSX antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
