Anti-HPO antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HPO is a known alias name of the protein growth factor, augmenter of liver regeneration, encoded by the GFER gene in humans. This 205-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides and TNF-mediated cellular signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria, cytoplasm, and is secreted of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for HPO include ALR, ERV1, and HERV1. Western Blot is the most common application for the HPO antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
