Anti-p56lck antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the p56lck antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the LCK gene, which encodes LCK proto-oncogene, Src family tyrosine kinase. This protein is known to function in the apoptotic pathway and innate immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of p56lck has a canonical amino acid length of 509 residues and a protein mass of 58 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in the tonsil, spleen, skin, lymph node, and bone marrow. Other names for this target antigen include IMD22, LSK, and YT16. Western Blot is a widely used application for the p56lck antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
