Anti-NAGT antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NAGT antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SLC5A1 gene, which encodes solute carrier family 5 member 1. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis, among other biological roles. The human version of NAGT has a canonical amino acid length of 664 residues and a protein mass of 73.5 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane of cells and notably expressed in the small intestine, kidney, and duodenum. Other names for this target antigen include D22S675 and SGLT-1. Indicated applications for NAGT antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
