Anti-heparin antibodies are available for the immunodetection of the heparin polysaccharide or other similarly named protein targets. Heparin in its native form is a polymer of varying lengths, ranging from 3 to 30 kDa in mass. It binds and activates the antithrombin protein, which hampers blood coagulation pathways. Heparan sulfate, a closely related structure, occurs in proteoglycans associated with cell surface or ECM proteins. Other heparin-associated proteins include heparin cofactor II (SERPIND1) and heparin binding protein. For more antibody target information, visit the supplier page.
