Anti-GGA3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein golgi associated, gamma adaptin ear containing, ARF binding protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 723 amino acid residues and a mass of 78.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi and membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the GGA protein family, GGA3 is reported to play a role in protein sorting and trafficking between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. Synonyms for this target antigen include Golgi-localized, gamma ear-containing, ARF-binding protein 3, and ADP-ribosylation factor-binding protein GGA3. GGA3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of GGA3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies.
