Anti-FAM166B antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the FAM166B antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CIMIP2B gene, which encodes ciliary microtubule inner protein 2B. This protein is a known microtubule inner protein (MIP) part of the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) in cilia axoneme, which is required for motile cilia beating. The human version of FAM166B has a canonical amino acid length of 275 residues and a protein mass of 30.6 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells. FAM166B is a member of the UPF0605 protein family. These FAM166B antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
