Anti-AJM1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein apical junction component 1 homolog. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 976 amino acid residues and a mass of 106.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. AJM1 is suspected to be involved in the control of adherens junction integrity. Synonyms for this target antigen include uncharacterized protein C9orf172. AJM1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunofluorescence is the most common application for the AJM1 antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
