Anti-ERBB1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The ERBB1 antigen is another term for the human protein epidermal growth factor receptor, encoded by the EGFR gene. The protein is a known receptor tyrosine kinase binding ligands of the EGF family and activating several signaling cascades to convert extracellular cues into appropriate cellular responses. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 1210 residues and a mass of 134.3 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, ER, Golgi, and cell membrane and it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. The ERBB1 protein is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family. Other alias names for ERBB1 include ERBB and ERBB. Some ERBB1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
