Anti-HLA-DQB antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the HLA-DQB antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the HLA-DQB1 gene, which encodes major histocompatibility complex, class II, DQ beta 1. This protein is known to function in adaptive immune responses, among other biological roles. The human version of HLA-DQB has a canonical amino acid length of 261 residues and a protein mass of 30 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and cell membrane of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include CELIAC1 and HLA-DQB.
