Anti-CCL3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein C-C motif chemokine ligand 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 92 amino acid residues and a mass of 10.1 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. A member of the Intercrine beta (chemokine CC) protein family, CCL3 is known to be involved with the transport of ions and cell to cell signaling. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage. The CCL3 marker can be used to identify CD8 Effector Memory T Cells and Alveolar Macrophages CCL3+ Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include LD78ALPHA, MIP-1-alpha, MIP1A, SCYA3, C-C motif chemokine 3, and G0S19-1.
