Anti-ANXA7 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein annexin A7. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 488 amino acid residues and a mass of 52.7 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Annexin protein family, ANXA7 is reported to be a calcium/phospholipid-binding protein, which promotes membrane fusion and is involved in exocytosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include SNX, SYNEXIN, annexin VII, annexin-7, and ANX7. ANXA7 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ANXA7 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
