Anti-HGFAC antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein HGF activator. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 655 amino acid residues and a mass of 70.7 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is notably expressed in the liver. A member of the Peptidase S1 protein family, HGFAC is known to be involved with proteolysis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HGFA and hepatocyte growth factor activator. HGFAC gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some HGFAC antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
