Anti-TLC domain containing 4 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TLCD4 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 263 amino acid residues and a mass of 30 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. A member of the TLCD4 protein family, it is known to be involved with the metabolism of lipids. Other names for this target antigen include TLC domain-containing protein 4 and transmembrane protein 56. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species.
