Anti-cilia and flagella associated protein 119 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CFAP119 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 331 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. Other names for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain containing 189 and coiled-coil domain-containing protein 189. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
