Anti-ODAD4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein outer dynein arm docking complex subunit 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 672 amino acid residues and a mass of 76.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the nasal mucosa. ODAD4 is a known component of the outer dynein arm-docking complex (ODA-DC) that mediates outer dynein arms (ODA) binding onto the doublet microtubule. The ODAD4 gene has been associated with the disease, Ciliary dyskinesia. Synonyms for this target antigen include tetratricopeptide repeat domain 25, tetratricopeptide repeat protein 25, and TPR repeat protein 25. ODAD4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
