Anti-TSR2 ribosome maturation factor antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the TSR2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 191 amino acid residues and a mass of 20.9 kDa. A member of the TSR2 protein family, it is suspected to be involved in 20S pre-rRNA processing. The gene encoding this protein is implicated in Diamond-Blackfan anemia. Other names for this target antigen include TSR2, 20S rRNA accumulation, homolog, WGG motif containing 1, escortin, and pre-rRNA-processing protein TSR2 homolog. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species.
