Anti-capping protein inhibiting regulator of actin dynamics antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CRACD gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1233 amino acid residues and a mass of 136.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in intestinal epithelial cells. It is known to be involved in epithelial cell integrity by acting on the maintenance of the actin cytoskeleton. Other names for this target antigen include cancer-related regulator of actin dynamics. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
