Anti-serine peptidase inhibitor Kazal type 7 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the SPINK7 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 85 amino acid residues and a mass of 9.2 kDa. It is known to be a secreted protein. It is a suspected serine protease inhibitor. Other names for this target antigen include ECRG-2, esophagus cancer-related gene 2 protein, esophagus cancer-related gene-2, serine peptidase inhibitor, Kazal type 7 (putative), and serine protease inhibitor Kazal-type 7. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species.
