Anti-mono-ADP ribosylhydrolase 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the MACROD1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 325 amino acid residues and a mass of 35.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is noted to be involved in DNA damage pathways. Other names for this target antigen include ADP-ribose glycohydrolase MACROD1, MACRO domain containing 1, MACRO domain-containing protein 1, O-acetyl-ADP-ribose deacetylase MACROD1, and LRP16. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species.
