Anti-cilia and flagella associated protein 107 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the CFAP107 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 194 amino acid residues and a mass of 23 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. It is a known microtubule inner protein (MIP) part of the dynein-decorated doublet microtubules (DMTs) in cilia axoneme, which is required for motile cilia beating. Other names for this target antigen include protein CFAP107 and uncharacterized protein C1orf158. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
