Anti-adenosine deaminase tRNA specific 1 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the ADAT1 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 502 amino acid residues and a mass of 55.4 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. It is a member of the ADAT1 protein family. Other names for this target antigen include tRNA-specific adenosine deaminase 1, adenosine deaminase acting on tRNA, tRNA-specific adenosine-37 deaminase, and HADAT1. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
