Anti-FAU ubiquitin like and ribosomal protein S30 fusion antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FAU gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 133 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. A member of the Ubiquitin protein family; Eukaryotic ribosomal protein eS30 protein family, it is known to be involved with protein translation. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage. Other names for this target antigen include Fub1, Fubi, MNSFbeta, RPS30, S30, asr1, eS30, and FAU1. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species.
