Anti-FKBP prolyl isomerase like antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the FKBPL gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 349 amino acid residues and a mass of 38.2 kDa. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. It is suspected to be involved in response to X-ray. Other names for this target antigen include FK506 binding protein like, WAF-1/CIP1 stabilizing protein 39, peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase, and FK506-binding protein-like. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species.
