Anti-RNA pseudouridine synthase domain containing 2 antibodies are used for the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the RPUSD2 gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 545 amino acid residues and a mass of 61.3 kDa. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 2 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the Pseudouridine synthase RluA protein family, it is reported to be a pseudouridine synthase that catalyzes pseudouridylation of mRNAs. Other names for this target antigen include C18B11, PUS9, pseudouridylate synthase RPUSD2, C18B11 homolog (44.9kD), RNA pseudouridylate synthase domain containing 2, and C15orf19. Gene orthologs have been identified in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
