Anti-MER proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The MER proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase antigen is another term for the human protein MER proto-oncogene, tyrosine kinase, encoded by the MERTK gene. The protein is a known receptor tyrosine kinase that transduces signals from the extracellular matrix into the cytoplasm by binding to several ligands including LGALS3, TUB, TULP1 or GAS6. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 999 residues and a mass of 110.2 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and it is widely expressed in many tissue types. The MER proto-oncogene tyrosine kinase protein is a member of the Tyr protein kinase protein family.
